Red Wagon Pizza is a love story.
Between Peter and Jacquie. And between Peter and pizza.
It started (very) early.
With the help of his grandfather, Pop Pop, Peter made his first pizza at two years old. His grandparents started a tradition of Friday pizza nights before there were pizzerias on every corner, so their house became the neighborhood pizza place.
That pizza-loving kid grew up and met the love of his life, Jacquie. They married, started a family (hi, Olivia and Carter! 👋) and continued the pizza night tradition from their South Minneapolis home—just down the street from what would become their restaurant someday.
Eventually this pizza hobby became more than just a hobby. The Campbells outfitted the original Red Wagon (a mobile pizza oven) and began catering for events and selling slices at the Linden Hills Farmers Market.
With the help of friends, partners and their team, Peter and Jacquie opened the doors to Red Wagon in 2014 to continue their family legacy of serving happiness.

“Only locally milled, heritage wheat flour goes in, for something that's both good, and good for you, but still tastes as though it isn't, like pizza ought.”
~City Pages, Best Pizza Award: Red Wagon Pizza
“I love having the culinary literacy you provide on the subject of pizza.”
~Andrew Zimmern, during Peter’s appearance on Andrew Zimmern Cooks
“We centered our dinner around a pepperoni pizza and it was perfect. Thin, crunchy, salty, cheesy and chewy. Pizza perfection.”
